Well, spring has finally arrived in New England. Got the stang out Saturday and it's time to put all Santa's gifts on the car. I will be putting in the Fuddle Racing Torque Convertor, Spydershaft, BMR Upper and Lower control arms and a B & M tranny cooler. Hopefully this will help me in my quest to join Ron in the 11 sec zone.
Sounds like a decent set of mods Hopefully you will see a nice reduction in your ETs! I hope to see Ron's amazing car again in just over a week out at the track
Tomorrow I am having JBA shorties installed. I am also getting the vibration from the FRPP x-pipe fixed. This vibration is almost as annoying as the plastic trunk light cover rattle.
Everything went really well. I am impressed with the quality of all the parts I chose. One word of advice when putting in a convertor, you will need this allignment tool from Ford to line up the plate on the convertor so you get it true. Drove the car afterward and everything feels strong. The car pulls very hard and I'm getting the stall I needed. Now, off to the track next week to see what it will do. I want to thank my buddy Rick for putting in the convertor and taking me for a ride in his 05' with a saleen supercharger.
Glad everything went well for you and your enjoying your new goodies Intrigued on what that does for you 1/4
Got my JBA shorties installed and it seems to have taken care of the exhaust rattle. The car breaths easier now. I plan on taking it out for some fun today to see if I notice the power gain. I will give this upgrade a couple of months while I plan the next one. I had my eyes on a driveshaft but it seems like the industry is still working on a better design for lowered cars. Maybe some light weighting, wheels and tires, steel brake lines, or something else. I will let you guys know where I end up. Take a look at my current set up and let me know if you have any thoughts.
