Hi. Just received the handles and escutcheons. Do I need to drill the panel for the pin on the back of these? The escutcheons came with a small spring that I guess fits over the pin? There is no detent for this on the panels.
This seems like a stupid question but I can't figure an alternative. However, it's the wife's car and without support from somebody with a clue I can't proceed or she will take away my nookie privileges.

    Roy,

The pin on the back of the escutions should fit into a hole in a Pony Door panel. If you're installing them on a standard door panel, you will have to make your own hole.

Also, if you're installing them in a standard interior, you will need to get a new Pony door handle extention.

Hope that helps - don't want you to loose any privileges.
