Ported?

I just got a ported upper and lower intake offa e-bay and i was wondering if there was a way that i could check to make sure its ported before i put it on? It looks like someone at least brushed up the flat surface where the gasket goes, but i cant see inside very well. I dont have a micrometer or a digital camera to take pics so im not too sure how well this will work....

An un ported will feal pretty rough. If it has been ported it should be smoothed but you should be able to see the marks from the sand paper rolls since you only want to use somethong around an 80 grit on the intake side. Also the ports should at least match the stock gaskets or be slightly bigger.

Without a camera for us to see them there is no way to judge. Try to borrow a camera from someone.
