I am going to get my intake powder coated, but I was not sure if I had to use the hi-temp powder or if I could use regular powder. Seems like they only have like black and silver in the hi-temp.....

Thanks

you should ceramic coat it inside and out then do berfore after dyno thread on it. i was always curious about that, btw i know alot of drag only cars that powder coat the oil pan to help heat the oil up faster and keep it warmer.

First off.....DO NOT COAT THE INSIDE OF YOUR INTAKE!!! Coatings flake off and can cause havok inside the engine. Have heard of guys losing a cylinder when a big flake of coating went into the combustion chamber.

Now, I have my upper powder coated with standard off the shelf powder and it has held up great. You will have 1000% more color options if you stay away from high temp coatings.

Good luck.
