POWER TOOLS!!!

I took a look around the fourm and found nothing to help me. I am sure there is a nice juicy thread here somewhere but I didn't find it. I am in need of a buffer/polisher. I have two cars and two SUV's that I care for and need something that will help buff out smaller scraches but also buff in some much needed wax. I have been using the whatever brand from the pepboys (I will take any handouts for the plug guys!) but I burn one of them up every year and the price jumps FAST.

Any help and advice would be great. Thanks in advance guys....
