Problems with an 03' stang conv. top

I had the top itself replaced after someone cut it, this was 6 mos. ago. Now there is a one inch gap between the top of the window and the top itself. I hear there are adjustments on it, and they would be (I asume under the head liner). Does anyone know what needs to be adjusted? The top needs to come down atleast two inches. I don't know how far the top needs to overlap onto the rear window. We already called the insurance company, this is like beating a dead horse. We have nothing coming. If anyone knows anything about this please get back to me. Thanks
