Problems with starting

I was driving my 1996 mustang gt for about 3 minutes and the car slowly died like it was out of gas. I was driving it a second time for like 3 minutes and it did the same thing. when i finally towed it home then i started it and it ran for about 3 minutes again and now all it does is turn over. I changed the fuel filter and it didn't fix the problem. Is there any thing that you guys think could be wrong with? If so please reply asap and tell me all the ideas that you think could be wrong with it. Thanks!

Check out the fuel lines... any rubber ones that are "rotted" or old and worn? Then check fuel pressure and pump

You only need 3 basic things for the car to run: Spark, fuel and air, and of course in the correct amounts and at the right time. Check the fuel pressure. Very possible your pump is dying.

sounds like your fuel pump is taking a dump. check the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail.

Make sure also that your tank has gas in it. Your gauge could be wrong and you could be running out of gas.
