In preparation for Sunday's Mustang Club drag day I decided to lighten the load as much as possible. Since I have made 0 performance mods to the car since my runs in the spring I decided to drop car weight.

Here is the list of what all I removed that I had along in the spring and their weights.

Trunk liner(single piece with the "board" attatched covering the spare)=6.6 lbs
    Car cover=6.6 lbs
Spare tire/jack(will remove after reaching the track:D )=33.6 lbs
    Sub box(Shaker 1000)=35.6 lbs
    Amp rack(Shaker 1000)=16.8 lbs
    Car seat(son's)=10.8 lbs
Back seat(both folding and bottom parts)=24.8 lbs
    Passenger seat(leather)=48.6 lbs
Grand Total of 183.4 lbs! That is only a handful away from totaly eliminating me!!!!!

I will post results Sunday evening.

Here are pics of the Shaker 1000 sub box and amp rack removed from the car.

Do you have the power passenger's seat? If you don't I wonder how much more would drop off the weight...

No diet for me...yet:rlaugh: The center console and cup holders will be empty:D I also plan on getting to the track with less than 1/4 tank of gas. There is a gas station less than a mile from the track so I can fill up before heading back home.

Mine is the regualr manual adjusted seat. I would imagine the power seat option could add another lb or 2...just over 50 lbs:shrug:
