Thanks! I sure loved it going through the mountains last weekend running it in mosly 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear
I see that a few people have this setup, I have the o/r h-pipe with stock mufflers and I think the tips are larger, some sort of package item with rolled tips. I LOVE the way mine sounds but would like it a little bit louder, not so much of a problem when I am at WOT but I would like a little bit more the rest of the time. Do you guys recommend the Flowmasters in my case? What happens if I go to long tubes in the future, is all of this stuff junk then? Kooldawg, I know you have gone back to the stock mufflers before and said that you would have just done that but how much of a difference is there with the Flows? I would be open to other suggestions also but keep in mind this is a DD and I don't want it to be completely obnoxious either. Thanks.
Have any of you guys had any install problems with the pypes h pipe? Ive heard some horror stories with their off road x pipes. Thanks Don-
Mine is also a DD and I love the looks people give me, be it the thumbs up/nod OR the OMG is that thing loud and obnoxious look of disgust I love going through tunnels and overpassses and getting on it When I had the broken baffle issue with the Flows, I swapped them out for the stockers. It sounded ok and would've saved me a few hundred bucks had I known about it. However, with the Flows and the O/R H...it is LOUD!!!!! I will have to get out and get a clip made of higher speeds and some WOT. One day when I get headers, I will probably look into the Kooks full system, but I don't know if the Flows would sound decent with the X pipe or just get some 4" tips for the stock mufflers and put them back on being they are respectable against most aftermarket muffler for power.
The place that put mine on had no problems, I watched as it was on the lift. I will probably get mine welded to eliminate the clamp.
Sounds good enough for me... saves me about $300 bucks I think.... do I still want the Prochambers....lol.
That sounds darn good! I heard some flows on the S197s before and didn't really like it. I'm guessing that h-pipe really helps it. Also, nice ETs. Didn't realize the autos could go so fast with minimal bolt on mods. Are you getting those ETs with the KDWS stock tires? I've got those tires on my 01 GT and can't imagine netting good 60's with them. Do you heat them up?
I never ran my car in stock trim nor went to any tracks to see them run, so I was completely shocked and happy to run low 13s That was running full weight(didn't remove the spare and jack)and also left my son's car seat in along with 2 folding chairs in the trunk. The runs were made using the stock KDWS tires at 33 psi. I did about a ten second or less burnout as the water box was the full width of the lane. The burnout wasn't recorded, but here is the run(I did spin just a little off the line, but traction was pretty good considering I was leaving at around 1700-1800 RPM). In the video, I had the stock mufflers on due to the broken Flowmaster baffles I had and was still waiting for the new ones to be sent to me. I will be going again in late September with the Flows
kooldawg... that car that passed by give us the finger...lol that sound is so familiar..we want WOT...c'mon now, you know the drill! good stuff...i wish i knew how to transfer video clips...good stuff dawg
That video is in the neighborhood so there was no way I was going to go WOT You will get what you ask for I'm bringing the camcorder into work with me tonight and will take some good stuff and get it posted up ASAP.
