rearend help!

    dose any1 out there know the length of a 88 ford thunderbird turbo coupe rearend with disc-brakes. compared to a stock 92 mustang hatchback rearend with drum-brakes.because i need to cut the turbo coupe rearend down but i dont know the lengths of both so there for i need both rearends to see how much i have to take off.

    The axle housings are the same. The TC axles, 93 Cobra and the 94-98 Mustang axles are 3/4" longer per axle.

    Why would you need to do anything to the axles? I had the complete TC rear end installed in my previous 89 Mustang with no modification to the axles or housing. I had no problems with clearance and the disk brakes were a plus.

    the car has been mini tubbed i am trying to run a 29x13 1/2x15 with a foot pattern of 12in and i want to do this without a huge backspacing.
