restore old intake manifold

I purchased a old 4 barrel intake for my 302 and I would like to know what I need to do to make sure it flows good etc. I will have it media blasted etc but I am wondering what I need to do for the internals. I have no idea how long it's been sitting. I am planning on putting an Autolite 4100 on it. Can intakes be dipped so that it's all cleaned out ? I don't see why not but it can't hurt to ask.
