Was shopping around the local audio store to see what amps they have that could power my subs. (pioneer impp's 10 incher's.) They had a 900 watt Rocksford Fosgate amp there that they were selling for about $200. Mono channel. i dont remeber the specifics tho. In general are rocksford fosgate amps good? i was already looking at a JBL 600.1 amp., that is very close in price to this rocksford. So in general would the rocksford be a good choice?

    Need more info

The JBL 600.1 is a great amp for the $$. You need to know what model RF amp is to do a comparison.

If its 900 watts MAX, its the Rockford Punch 301m which you can get at best buy for 139 bucks .. its only got like 320 rms but it would work for your subs... Find out what the 10's can take.. probably around 300 rms each, so you could go with a rockford amp with 400rms or higher. I have a Rockford Power 351m for my 12". Works well and comes with a remote bass knob.

thanks for the feedback. does everyone agree that the JBL 600.1 mono channell amp is good for my 2 10 inch pioneer impp's? Im almost postive that i will be purchasing that amp. also, how good/safe is it to buy the amp off www.sounddomain.com (meaning legit, good service, wont get screwed..ect.)

I'd buy it off of ebay or the classified forums on www.elitecaraudio.com

I'm currently using a JBL1200.1 to drive my two IDQ DVC 12's...and it freaking SLAMS those bad boys. I have the amp on about 25 percent gain and it still works my subs.

If you are going to go with Rockford I would go with their Power series, not the Punch series. I think that the JBL 600.1 would work better for you than the Rockford you were looking at, but if you bumped it up to the Power series I would go with that over the JBL.

You usually want about 10-20% more power RMS at 12v out of your amp than your subs run RMS. That keeps you safe from blowing the subs from underpowering.

I recently installed a RF 451S amp to power an Infinity 120.3dvc 12" sub and it sounds great. The bass hits so hard and crystal clear. I picked the 451S and bridged it with the one sub for now, and can eventually use it to power a set of components if I ever reupgrade the front speakers from the Kenwoods that are in there now.

I'm not a SPL or audio fanatic I just like to plug my ipod into the dash and let it rock and that combo definately did the trick for me.
