RWHP Loss from Manual VS. Auto???

i know this is a common topic but i've heard so many different things i want to know the truth from someone that knows what they're talking about. i "heard" manuals lose 19-20% and auto's lose 21-22% from crank to wheels. i have all bolt ons plus dyno tune and cams and numbers are only 262/269. is that because it's an auto or is 80k miles the cause? i figure i should be around 275 and 295 if it were a healty manual. sound right?

I have heard 15-18% on manuals and 20%+ on autos. It depends on what type of clutch/trans you have and what auto trans you have. Steel vs. aluminum driveshafts can make a difference too.

My 2V made 241 and 283 with a CAI. stock manifolds, BBK o/r H, and a MAC cat-back.

I would definitely suggest an aluminum driveshaft. I noticed a difference as soon as I had it put on. Also if you put a different intake on like the HPS hardballer you could probably get close to 280 rwhp.
