Hey guys, do any of you know if its safe to turbo charge a 93 with the hyper pistons, I live near a top mustang shop that is known for its great tuning. Im not thinking anything crazy with this turbo setup, like 10psi max

yep, as said if you keep the A/F safe (11.5-11.8) and dont get too greedy with the timing, youll be fine. hyper pistons arent as strong as a froged piston but there also not as bad as everyone thinks they are, they just will not take too much detonation before shattering

You can split the block before hurting the pistons if the tune is right but even still, if things get a little too hot, they will go before a forged piston will. A forged piston can also handle repeated beatings more than a hyper, if it's a good tune, all else being equal. I wouldnt worry about it, get it tuned and it should be okay, the block is probably gonna go first.

Hyper pistons are fine for any turbo or supercharger app. Just like anymotor
with a power adder.. its always in the tune. I ran a stock bottem end 351W
with hyper pistons and a 175 shot running 10.40's all day..tune, tune, tune.. :nice:
