Thinking of getting a Pro 5.0 Shifter in the next month or two. I've read about the install, and it looks pretty easy. Just wondering if I will have any problem working with that silicone stuff during the cold weather. I'm in Ohio, so the temp is in the 30's right now and getting colder.

Before you do the install, drive the car at least 5-10 miles, to get the trans fluid nice and warm. The fluid will radiate heat to the case for some time after that. Keep the shifter in your house until you're ready to put it in, and when you put it all together, there should be enough residual heat to set the silicon sealer pretty quickly.

When you're done, start the car, crank the heater up to high, and let it run for 10-15 minutes. The heat from the engine will radiate back to the trans, and the heat from the heater will help warm the trans tunnel!
