Does anyone have side exhaust? How do you like your side exhaust? Does it have a nice rumble to it? Can anyone post pics of your side exhaust? Thanks.
Moi, borla is ok for sound nice for style bad for flow. I just custom fab'd mine. My Avatar has a small pic + some in my grage pics. I absolutly love the rumble i have now, i have driven+heard a borla kit its kinda twangy and fluffly throttle response sound though i dont know what else he had for exhuast. But my side pipe just have a cylindrical small resonator + x pipe and it sounds great(especially when cold at idle LOL) but full throttle sounds very unique and strong
Also if you can afford exhaust w/ side skirts the lame design to get it out the side is worth the look from the exterior of the car
I looking for a unique sound and a strong rumble. What kind of mufflers did you use for your custom exhaust?
they are invisable!! i didn't put a muffler if i were to i't'd be too long and i'd have to snake back towars the front of the car , just a maganflow barrel resonator. Can you say loud?-even w/ high flow cats
That's the roush kit, the only problem with Side Exit Exhausts is you have to look around for a good subframe connector that fits
I'm running Spintech side exit mufflers on my Roush. Here's a vid with a Mac O/R H, Spintech mufflers, and a slow 30mph'ish drive-by.... http://videos.streetfire.net/search/roush/1/B168E5A0-C0D8-48F9-B1AC-6F6D76C6F073.htm The side skirts do look alot better with the tips coming coming out the side but be prepared for some scraping if you do go that route, especially with speed bumps and high drive ways.
Firemanz: Your car sounds wonderful I like the tone of it. Nice Roush! Tom: Would the Kenny brown subframe connectors work with side exhaust?
Cut off the mufflers and turn the pipes out to the side. A muffler shop can do this for less than $100+the price of tips. Real loud and mean. I have been running this for 3 yrs. Sounds wicked at WOT.
I think to make it look right you must change your rear bumper cover to one without cutouts such as the V-6 bumper cover.
