I want to smoke test my 96 mustang gt's vacuum lines, I know I have a leak but no idea where from. I know you must pump super low psi into the lines, but I was wondering if I could blow "can O smoke" (used for testing home fire detectors) into the break boost line. The things I thought of that led me to ask here is, is it too high of psi coming out of the can? And, is the chemical makeup of the "can O smoke" not ok to pump through everything. I know residue may build up on the insides of the lines and just want to make sure I won't hurt anything. I know I could go get it smoke tested but I live in SoCal and it's like $100 depending where I go and I really don't have a ton of money to throw into my car just to find out I need to throw more money into fixing it. Just lookin for a cheap home remedy
