So I've heard 4.10's with an automatic, 3.73 with manual but why?

+1

i went from 3.08 to 3.73 in my auto and I was kind of disapointed..I guess I was expecting more...should of went with like 4.56 haha...honestly...I dont see why everyone with a mustang throws gears in them...why not put 500 dollars towards a tuner or something else IMO

500 dollar xcal2 and tune on auto gt >500 dollar gears on auto gt

I disagree.. autos need all the gearing help they can get, you are really not going to get that much out of a tuner on a stock car..

plus it's not just getting out of the hole where gears shine. after up shifts you are higher up in the rpm's and this also helps improve acceleration.. they make a big impact on acceleration

On a auto car the two biggest things you can do to improve your acceleration with a stock motor is a good converter and gears..

even on a FI car the converter and gears will help big time.. anybody that says different either has no clue or is intentionally misleading people.
