    Hey,
what's goin on guys? I thought you guys would be the first people I'd talk to about this. But come April of 2006, I think I'll be listing the stang up for sale. I am looking into getting a year rounder, most likely a Z4, and the stang just doesn't fit the picture.
Things aren't definite yet, but I thought i'd throw it out on the floor now.

It feels weird just writing that man...
    wow.

I know it's not a good topic to post up, but I'll still be kickin around here. And this is something that isn't written in stone yet anyway...
it's a 90/10 in favour for selling it now.

No you're not, give yourself some time to sober up and you'll realize that this is a completely ludicrous idea

i really like the Z4, electric steering, run flat tires, excellent brakes. if you get one make sure you get the sport seats and leather extender, puts leather on the a-pillar and some other parts. the only thing you have to be careful with is leaving it in the rain or going through high pressure car wash. the conv top motor sits in a well behind the drivers seat and can take on water, i've done about ten or so in the last year. if you wait they are going to release another M roadster which is supposed to have a 290hp 3.0L. if i were to buy a bimmer it would be a Z4, followed by a 645.

haha, well, they go with the car ;)
unless we can work out a deal lol!

that's actually a really good tip
i appreciate that. I don't take my cars through car washes so that wouldn't be an issue, but leaving the car in the rain might be an issue, i should look into a way of covering the convertible top motor. I love the M series cars, but the price range is at $70G with all the bells and whistles. I don't know if I want to spend that much. But again thanks for the tips, that's going to come in handy. :nice:

    I want the....just joking.

Actually i really would never sell a mustang due to weather conditions, i mean with a simple rim/tire change the mustang can be made to work quite good in the winter

Am I the only one who sees the clear contradiction here?

BTW, if you are thinking of dropping the kind of green required for a BMW, you can afford the few thousand you could get out of the 'stang. So do the right thing and get a NICE daily driver, and keep the 'stang. Some food for thought.

IMHO BMW's are pieces of ****, and are overatted.

yea they're nice, and expensive, but what about when something breaks, or maintence comes around...no way any regular guy could afford the damn maintenence on those damn things...and the money you pay for one you could have a bad ass stang...and how is a Z4 going to be better year around than the stang?

BMW's are nice. I agree buying one is kinda wishy-washy once out of warrantee. If they are offering a good lease deal and you have no plans on keeping it very long then that can be good...v. the whole deal of paying on it for 4-5yrs. That is if your not putting a $h!t-ton of miles on it.

I think in all honesty as far as the BMW/Benz thing goes I would rather lease one for 2yrs or so and get a new one every 2yrs...they just dont seem to age well (style wise)in the long run...ex. those early mid 90's BMW/Benz's just look realy dated. Plus you would not have to think about warrantee time issues. Hell sometimes you even see crap for oil change/gen maint. deals included in the deal.

all BMW's come with 50k mile free scheduled maintenance. there are no timing belts, 100k mile plugs, and oil services are every 15k. i do agree with not aging well as far as style. their style is pretty out there, and is way too trendy.

as far as owning one out of warranty, most of your problems will be under warranty(50k). the Z4 seems to be very reliable and not plagued with the typical bmw junk like p/s leaks(doesn't have it), coolant leaks, or window regulators.

woah woah WOAH!!!!! if you can afford a ****in Z4, why the hell can't you just get a truck of something for daily driving, and for the bad weather, and just keep the stang.....i think it goes without saying its the most PIMP stang on here:Word: you cant give us **** like this man, its just not coolcrapola

    Don't do it!

I'm with some of the others already posted here. If you've got that kind of scratch for a NEW BMW, then just get a 4X4 truck for a lot less money and keep the Stang. Put the Stang up for the winter and you'll love driving it in the spring even more after you've been away from her for awhile. Don't do it man! You are a constant source of entertainment for the rest of us!

You're not jerking our chains here, are you?:nono:

You're absolutely right. A lot can change in 6 months. But this wasn't something I had decided just today. For everyone who doesn't know, my car now is my daily driver. I love the stang, there's no doubt about it, but at the same time I won't have a luxury of owning two cars. I'll be moving probably within the next 9 months or so and I am going to need something reliable. The stang is great but at the same time it's a '94 and I don't have time to fix every small little rattle that happens. It's a hobby that I spent a lot of time on and I won't be able to give my car the attention that it has received.

It's not to say also, that I won't buy another stang, but I just can't spend the time on it anymore.

And I'll still be around here.
Look how many clowns are still here after they sold their stangs :D
This place is more than just a forum, you're like a crowd of guys I have fun jokin around with, and I wouldn't sell that for anything. I just need something that's more suitable for my new lifestyle.

    & I'm still a vert ****.

Although a little sad, it's not the selling of the stang that troubles me, it's that you think a Z4 looks better! They look like f'd up Miatas. I see about 6 hot blonde chics in them a day....you do the math.

    :(
