Has anyone figured out how to turn off that durned beeping noise when you go over 72 MPH? Other than that I have found nothing to complain about. This car is the one Ford that I will keep when it comes time to replace the tires. And at this rate I may have to replace them sooner than I expect. It is just way to easy to get them spinning.

    what?

    You are not serious!

I have never heard of a car warning you that you are going to fast.

as if the seatbelt chime isn't bad enough

There must be some way to turn it off. I know you can turn off the beltminder thingy be doing a series of turning the lights on & off and pushing the seatbelt.

Check the owners manual, or ask your dealership. For the sake of the mustang, I hope you find somehting.

That's unheard of. There's too many highways where the speed limit is 70mph for an "alarm" to sound over 72mph...

If he is getting the beep when the cruise control is on, his computer is trying to tell him something.

The Lincon LS and T-Bird, which use the same PCM will beep at you when you have cruise on over 70 MPH if the mileage in the Instrument Cluster Odometer does NOT agree with the Odometer in the main PCM. This is programmed in to tell you if someone has tampered with the odometer. This could be done by swapping in a IC from a low mileage wreck.

Since the '05 Stang is a new car, if this is happening, it sounds like a manufacturing defect where the IC odometer doesn't match the PCM, so the warning beep is triggered.

It beeps at you if you're seatbelt isn't fastened, or if your passenger's seat belt isn't fastened for that matter.
