stock cam v/s b-cam?

your first problem is going to be the auto tranny. the b cam has a very aggressive idle and a tune is needed to ge the idle quality down. doing a search and you can read some of the problems with the b and atx cars with idle issues.

you will see hp gains but give up some on the low end side. it will pull hard through 5000rpms on stocks springs but performance springs will gain more revs and be much better. you will also have to watch valve/piston clearance due to extra lift,use a quality head gasket set like felpro, they are nice and thick and will gain you some clearance. no matter what you will need a tune.

that being said the stock cam does well for the street, I see in you sig you are running gt40 heads. have tried a tune yet with the stock cam? I'd go with a custom grind or search out a better cam then, there are much better out there than the b for your needs.
