Hey Guys,
87GT with 173000kms.
I have noticed that after i have driven it hard for a while (ie going up a long grade) that under partial thorttle afterwards, it will "pop". Hard to determine if it's an exhaust or intake backfire since I have quiet mufflers.
If I lay into it, it will sometimes pop hesitating at the same time, then will accelerate like normal.
If I just cruise for a bit it will not do it again. Just the odd time.
I'm pretty sure the 87s do not have CEL on the dash because I never see one at startup.
I haven't pulled the codes yet, but i wanted to here some ideas from you guys.
So far the only thing I can think of is Fuel pressure, but you think that would doing while you're accelerating.
I guess one of these days I'll have to check my TPS voltage just to rule that out.
Other than the odd time, the car runs great.
Thanks in advance.
