T/B question

Hello Stangnet,

I recently acquired a C&L plenum for my 96gt.

I am in the midst of looking for a throttle body to match the plenum.

My question is pretty simple(sorry if it has been answered before):

Which size T/B will work best with the C&L? 70 or 75mm?

I know Accufab is pretty much the best... Are there any other T/B's that people can reccommend? I am on a pretty tight budget.

i have a C&L upper, and pro products 75mm t/b, they match up perfect! i will be porting the C&L soon and have been looking for a 80mm t/b, but nobody makes one.........

Cool, so basically a 70 or a 75 should fit flush depending on the companies.

Keep the replies coming guys I appreciate it. I want to get all the feedback I can before I make a purchase!

I bought one of these from a Stangnet sponsor, CJ Pony Parts, a few months ago for $89. I don't know if they are still that price now. When I saw that, I jumped on it. I like it, install was very easy.

I've read the Ford Racing TB's are 70mm at the opening, but are smaller at the blade. Go with 75mm. I think it was MM&FF that tested the BBK 78mm tb/plenum and had great gains on a stock engine.

not to get too off topic but you guys dont think the 78mm bbk is too over kill for a mainly stock motor? because that looks like a nice piece

yeah was wondering the samething. is the recently new BBK 78mm a little much for a fairly stock mustang? like your basic bolt ons cai,meter,maybe udpullies... ? - any poweradder or heads an cams even.

Looks like I'm gonna go for the 75mm T/B. I wonder if my car is "modded" enough for a 75mm T/B?

Next week it's getting PI cams
I already have,
-catless x
-Flowmaster catback
-PI intake
-K&N filter
-Aluminum D/S
-FRPP wires
and the C&L pleunum to be paired with the T/B.
