It's possible to do anything, I just wouldn't suggest it.

If you have a coupe, look into a targa top (very expensive). I've never heard of a t-top 96' to date.

I would suggest buying a car with either T tops or a targa if that's what you want. Don't try to convert yours. You'll only weaken the structure of your car severely.

I think the Mustang last had them in '88 or '89.. it would take a lot of work and money to convert a later Mustang to T-tops. I would say just find a newer Camaro or Firebird with T-tops.. of course, then you have to fight the urge to grow a mullet and drive around with Queen or Whitesnake blaring from the stereo.. :rlaugh: and before anyone gets offended and jumps on my case for that mullet shot, NO I am not disrespecting GM, I just think the Camaro/Firebird mullet-head thing is funny as hell! In a GOOD way!

    1) Mark off a 2 inch section in the middle of roof.

    2) Take saws-all and cut unwanted roof off.

    3) Place your Damn Yankees cassette tape in player.

    4) Enjoy.

Listen to Integraholic, whenever you cut away a portion of the roof you weaken that structiure. Even if they try to brace the remaining roof afterwards, it is still not near as structurally sound as it was prior. Roll over with a T-Top and your a pancake.

They have extra bracing under the hood and the frame, which coupes do not have. You could probably add some of it aftermarket, but then the car would be heavier. It always seemed wierd to me that convertibles are heavier than coupes, but it's all the extra bracing welded on that does it.
