Drivetrain T5 Knocking?! --- Video

Just did the AODE to foxbody T5 swap.

Here is a video of the knocking:





I tried tightening the cable and it is about 2/3rds down on thr clutch fork (where the nuts tighten) and it feels tight I also read that it should be preloaded, which I dont agree with, but it feels like the throwout is against the pressure plate. Any other ideas?!

I think it has something to do with the clutch. I have heard similiar sounds from an improperly installed clutch. It can actually snap the sleeve part of the retainer off. When you push in the clutch, it pushes the retainer tight against the pressure plate, and it stops making noise. Either way, I think it's time to take the transmission out and have a look.
