ticking sound after car is shut off

hey wuts up guys, today when i shut my car off i got out and noticed a ticking noise fro about 15 seconds......does anybody know what that is...Thanx

Ticking noise after that car has shut off??? The only thing that I can think of is.. possibly the exhaust cooling?? Thats a pretty typical sound given the season.

Could you give a more decriptive location of the sound??

Most likely the noise is all the hot engine and exhaust parts cooling down. If you are in a cold climate now thats probobly what it is.

RUN..!!!! IF the Tick's are more than 15 sec's thing is gonna Blow..!!! Whew Lucky you, you made it past that one ...haha, No I agree with everyone else, it's just so cold out and the parts are Contracting (Cooling down VERY fast)...
