    I had no idea the fox saleens weighed that little. What do the regular GT/LX's tend to weigh? I always figured them for about a 3300lb car, guess that was a bit on the high side

    The saleen still may weigh 3300, which is still alot less than any of the newer mustangs.
    Notchbacks can be in the 3100's and with a little weight removal (nothing vital) you can get them under 3000lb's.
    A gt and a saleen should weigh about the same, saleen kit probably weighs more, but the gt rims are definetely heavier.

    I've known guys in hatch lx's that have thier cars at about 3100, without removing anything that you would notice.

    BTW, adding aluminum heads removes 50lbs, no joke i weighed my new vs. old. That coupled with putting the battery in the hatch makes for a very well balanced car for drag racing or road racing.
