going to the track again this saturday, gunna try and improve my time.

thinking of dropping tire pressure down to around 24 or so. maybe as low as 20.

how low can i go with out seeing the TPMS light? and if it comes on, can i just clear it with reset?

Mine comes on when I start the car and it goes away when I hit reset. Then again I have aftermarket wheels w/o TPMS hardware in it I'm not sure if actual low pressure would be cleared that easily.

well... it would just clear when you re-inflated the tires right? It would be on the whole time your at the track, but does that really matter? Maybe I am missing something.

My TPMS comes on at about 25-30psi, as I need new rear tires and they get low about once a month or so.

No different than having the TCS light lit the whole time.

I believe it'll shut back off once you reinflate the tires. ..might have to drive around alittle, but it should go out.

Worse case, you'll just have to disconnect the battery for a bit.

just making sure i don't need to hook up a scanner or anything to clear the code.

i'm fine with it being on, just don't want it to stay on. i had 4 lights on my old car that were always on, and it pissed me off to the point i just pulled the bulbs out.

If your tires are underinflated to the point where the TPMS light comes on, the light should turn off when you inflate the tires to the proper pressure and drive for 2 minutes at over 20 mph.

+1 The TPMS light will turn off when the air is re inflated and driven for a few miles.
