I have a 92 lx notch 5.0 with 5speed stock exept 3:73's and has 200,000kms on it. There's a guy that wants to trade me for a 99 GT. Has 144,000kms. automatic trans, cobra front bumper, has cold air intake and a sub in the trunk. I'll be using it as a daily driver/weekend toy. What would you guys do? should I or shouldent I?

If you drive alot and you really use it as a daily driver, the 99 is probably the better car.
Not as much fun, but more comfortable for sure.

Well I normally take the bus to school as its free so I only use the car on the weekends in the summer. So not alot of driving. Just that my 5.0 is worth around $5000-$6000 and the 99 is worth about $9000-$10,000. My 92 have never been winter driven but the 99 has been winter driven since new. I'm not really a fan of the automatic either... Just the price diffrence is tempting me! But anothing thing is, in my town there isnt a single fox for miles, but there is 3 Gt's of the same body style and about 3 more v6 stangs of that stlye. So the fox definatly stands out a little from the crowd.

which town? near WPG?

Trust me that 99 will soon be a rust bucket, manitoba salt is gonna eat that baby up..........and even though they are asking 9-10000 around here they aren't worth it especially with that many kms

it wouldn't happen to be white would it?

I think the price gap might be closer than that.

I've frequently seen 99 GT's selling for $4000-5000 or so. A cleaner example might go for 6000-7000.

Hell, i only got $9500 for my 2003 GT. Price is falling on the 99-04's so quick that in a year or so, i bet you can pick one up for $3000.

Potent little car though. I had an 03 GT and loved it. Ran a 14.1 with it bone stock, and it was confortable as hell to drive an handled much better....granted...i did buy it with 5 miles on the clock.
