Had car out for second time this year today and found my tranny makin all kinds of racket..whinning in 1st, 2nd , and third..only time I could get a break from it was idling along in 4th, also noted a rattle sound comming from under the shifter area under light load in 2nd and 3rd, wondering if anyone else has experienced this with a tranny on the way out? Also lookin for input on what a new tranny (rebuilt) will be like in comparison..do the t-5's whine when rebuit? are they smooth?..mine has 190000 miles on it and shifts and feels like an old truck tranny, so I'm looking to hear what It will be like to have a fresh t-5, from people who have had one put in.
