turbo is finally done

    well it took me awhile to build it but it is done and running.havent driven her yet cause still need an air filter and a couple of small things,but she fired right up and sounds f'n awsome with a 3 1/2 inch open downpipe:D dont have any vid yet but as soon as i do it will be up here.untill then heres some pics.

    nice!!! Go turn the boost up and burn the tires down!! BTW: drive it alot on nice cool days turbos love to make power in cooler weather!!

    stupid question. very stupid one. but dose the down pipe replace the header or somehting or what dose it do? i dont know crap about turbos.

    ok thanks i read it an i understand the down tube but what i still dont get is how its hooked up. sorry still confusing me :(

    k the headers have a flange(connector that bolts to the exhaust side of the turbo) on them, they are usually flipped so that the headers point forward instead of backwards. That way the turbo is powered by the exhaust side(turbine side) which spins a fan and exits through the downpipe. There is a shaft that connects thhe exhaust side and the intake side(compression side) of the turbo that spins the compressor fan which then pumps air through the cold side tubing (can go through intercooler) into the intake. If that didn't help I can explain it in a lil better detail, I have been contemplating a Master Power T70 build myself, just working the funds.

    AWESOME, i considered a turbo build for about....10 minutes and I realised Im broke and it would take me a few years to complete it :nice:

    Alrightey Ryan, read that about ten times and you'll know almost anything you want to know bout how they work! And the diagrams rock!! Freshmen year I did a research paper on turboes and that is where I learned almost everything.

    hmm. maybe ill do a reseach paper on turbos. were doing one soon i belive.


    on a side note. my shop teacher is into cars to. not mustangs though :notnice: he has two trans ams. 97 and 78. the 78 is pretty cool. 2 whole classes of all of us hanging around the car. gotta love 1st period shop class. lol. :)

    man if I want to take shop class at my school I have to switch to a technical diploma(not good for a Dr.) and they send us to some other school for it like the last 3 periods of the day :bs:

    oh that sucks. my junior year i want to do the 4 classes at the high school and the rest at the technical school or something. :shrug:

    no it can be for class in which you leave and work if you already have enough credits to graduate.

    By the tim I will have graduated I will have taken 7 science classes when only 3 are required to graduate, but I want to be a doctor or something along those lines. So far I have taken Gifted Bio 1, AP Chemistry, Gifted Chem 1, AP Bio, AP physics, Anatomy and Physiology, and I plan on tkaing one next year... yes I am a munster

    science has never really interested me. i like math :shrug: but i got a A in math and a A+ in science. and our science teacher is a ****.:shrug:

    its 21 credits to grad right?

    Its 22 here, then 24 for College prep with Distinction, I am aiming for 25 or 26...
