Well I promised you guys some updated pics, here they are. As you can easily see, there is way to much sidewall on the rear tires. I want something a little more like the fronts. Probably 275/35-18 or 285/35-18, we will see. I am hoping the springs will settle another 1/2 and then it will sit right. If not I will try cutting them a bit till its right.

Yeah, I agree on the lowering, hoping it settle some.

Yeah that is snow in Speculator. Got the cobra out today, but last week there was still too much snow in front of the door to bring it out.

I am with you that the rear tire is a little too tall. Other than that, the car looks awesome. I wish I had the cash to catch the car before you snuck it out of my home state!

I'm envious of that car. I still wish you could've stopped here on the way back with the car, since you had to drive THROUGH the town I live in in I-80. :D

I'm also kinda digging the taller rear tire. Having a big set of meats on the rear of a Fox gives them a mean stance that just screams "Yep, I need tires this big. Do you really wanna test me, to find out just how slow your car is?"

frankly, i'm not a fan of it at all. totally out of place.

that car is so unique already, it doesn't need anything to set it apart.

i say keep it 100% stock and clean.

Matt - I hear you, I like the larger tires on the back of a fox, especially when they can back em up. Problem is, this is still the stock motor, so yeah, only like 132hp, I don't think this thing can back it up. lol

autumn_again - Yeah its the law here, I hate running a front plate, so sometimes I don't on the cobra, when I do it is just zip tied behind the bumper.

Chris - I hear you, but I not a stock type of guy. I'm a hot rodder at heart, that just me. Some 4 eye fans might not like my plans for the car (being I started from a bone stock pace car) but the way I look at it is, it was up for sale on the internet and anyone could have bought it, lol. I've always like the pace cars (my second one), I'm not planning to ruin the car, I want to keep it true to what it is (at least appearance wise), just with my own twist.

i hear you. i'm a hot rodder at heart too, but i can keep the hot rodding to the stang.

until the wife makes me sell the stang, i will continue restoring the fairlane back to stock.

if i do end up selling my stang, then i may have a hard decision to make about the fairlane. then that may have to become the hot rod. i'll probably want a radio with a cd player, tighter steering, more power, wider back wheels and tires, and an exhaust i can actually hear.

Looks good goes with the black beltline. The only thing I do not like about the 4eye's is th dash. Been in love with 4eye's since I saw my first clean/well done one. I would actually go as far to buy a 87-93 nd put a 4eye front on that. I just noticed that spoiler...that is interesting looking.

What are your plans for driveline/sysp/chassis? Looks like from your pics and "rendor" its going to be more a street machine...griggs, 4valve, and t56...hmm...hmmm...hmmmmm?

Played with photoshop to lower the car some more and corrected the rear tire size. Made a few other small changes.

It does look better lowered, but I do like a little beefier rear tire. What size are the fronts vs the rears now?
