Vortech+TB question

If for now I decide to upgrade to a 70mm TB, would I really see or feel much of a gain?

Mods: Vortech V-2 , Power pipe, Stock engine.

Just figured while I was in there installing the power pipe maybe adding a 70mm TB would make some difference.

I'd leave the stock one for now and change it if you ever change the manifold and heads.

I don't think it would make a much of a difference. The reason is the small plastick tube from the discharge opening of the supercharger is smaller than the TB.

That is what the powerpipe does. It eliminates that small plastic tube with a much bigger 3-4" tube.

I logged back to back on my V1 S-trim with the stock throttlebody and the BBK 70mm (I had a powerpipe). The flow at the mass air was EXACTLY the same. Pedal feel was touchier because of the larger throttlebody but in terms of flow, no gain.

94CobraPace is referring to the plastic between the blower and the throttlebody (which the powerpipe doesn't replace unless you get the mondo bypass unit).

The powerpipe will definitely show you a difference.

Exactly, the plastic between the TB and SC. It is very small diameter, less than 3".
Power pipe is before the supercharger, replacing the 90 elbow bend.
