ok,i washed the engine this past weekend. i removed the alt and upper intake to reloom the wires. blocked off intake ports,plugged pcv valve,removed plug wires. then sprayed engine with degreaser,let soak,washed off. blowed dry with leaf blower,let dry. i washed upper intake seperatly,also washed plug wires. towel dried. these got wet,coil,icm and dizzy. i removed cap and there was alittle water in dizzy,i dried it. i reassembled everything,the car started right up. drove home fine. next morning,starts up fine. but,before fully hot,car will not accelerate. at around 2k,it stutters and refuses to accelerate. around 3k,it takes off,pulls hard. will do this for the first 5(?)minutes. after this it will run fine. i pulled the cap again,no water. i used an alcohol pad to clean the pip,checked for jumping spark(none). today,the check engine light came on while driving after sitting all night.also has the same symptoms until up to operating temp. i have not pulled codes yet,reader is at the garage. i will check in the morning. if anyone can help me out,i would greatly appreciate it. :SNSign:
Harvey, nothing jumps out at me. You took care of the dizzy, which is the biggie. The coil and TFI module are designed to get wet. Is there any chance something else is going on (a connector was left undone or came loose)? Maybe the code will narrow it down...... Good luck brah.

Posted via Mobile Device grease at all connections. also cleaned the pip again.looked like it had some rust on it. used the connector cleaner on a clean rag.wiped off alittle red. after,passed
after letting the car sit for about 30mins,same problem. after about 3mins of driving,it clears up. should i be looking for bad wiring or at a bad o2? dont have time to really look til the weekend.
just a little more info. -the car starts fine. -will idle til the cows come home,on cold engine and hot. -runs good warm,i let it idle for 5 mins before coming home tonight from work. no check engine light,accelerates good,a little rough though. -the hpipe took a hard hit holloween night,on passanger side. me and my girl were on our way to the strip clubbanana, there was a big chunk of concrete in the road i was unable to avoid. put a dent in the pass side tube and split apart the crossover. i had it clamped togeather,and a couple spot welds so it would not vibrate loose. i pulled it out the next morning and completly welded it togeather. but the car ran fine until i washed the engine last sunday.
waiting for the o2 sensor to cool so i can check it. thing i noticed though,is when i wiggle the wires at the base of the o2,on the driver side,i can hear a slight scraping sound.
That chunk of concrete might have damaged the O2 sensor or the wiring to it. Could be just a coincidence.
