More likely, either it wasn't their jurisdiction, or there was no hard evidence to support the allegations. Tough to get them interested when it's a "he said-I said" situation. Sometimes we forget to use our heads and play by the rules when we THINK we know who we're dealing with. Some sort of written documentation always goes a long ways. Not judging here, as I've done it, too. Either way, it sux for Brian, and I truly hope he get some satisfaction in the end. I do agree there's something odd going on, judging by the other party's recent actions.
