What gear lube?

I just got my gears in installed and am wondering what you guys use?
is full synthetic worth the money? i am also going to get the friction modifier from ford this afternoon. thanks

Some aftermarket syn fluids have the friction modifer already in the fluid.

The shop who installed your gears should have checked to see if the rear was chattering or grabby and added the modifier then.

I replaced the gears myself in my garage.
i'm all done and just need to put the fluids in. i was just wanting some recommendations....full synthetic or not.
and what it would actually do for the extra $$$

Mobil 1 75w90 Full Syn Gear Lube w/FMS Friction Modifier...Reason: It will definitely withstand more punishment than just conventional fluid and most new Hi-Po vehicles are now shipped w/syn fluid in rear ends and/or engines anyway!

Whatever you choose (synthetic here), I like to put it in for a little while, heat cycle everything a few times and put some miles on it, then change fluid again.

The gears should be broken in, which is one heat cycle with easy driving then let them totallg cool before it is driven again....

Break your new set up in with some conventional 80W90 gear oil first and after 400+ miles throw some synthetic in her. Redline make's a really nice Synthetic 75W90 with friction modifier already added. Since you already bought some Fric. Modifier they also have a Synthetic 75W90 that has no additive in it at all available.

i like amsoil or royal purple and it is worth every penny..........................
