I can't seem to get at the thing. Has anyone done this before? My headlights work fine, but the dashlights are funky...I have to rattle the switch to get them to work...and then I hit a bump or someting and I have to do it all over again. Very annoying.

Step by step.

- Pull knob
- Push button
- Pull knob again
- Unscrew bezel
- Unplug connector
- Plug-in new switch
- Slid in place and screw bezel back on
- Insert knob shaft
- Hold button and push knob in the rest of the way

Ninety percent of the time the rheostat is the first thing to go on these switches. The other ten percent of the time the connections start to break-down and the unit builds up heat until it shuts itself off.

I think I covered everything.
