last weekend the tracks around here are open. so i head out today, since i wouldn't be able to make it tomorrow because of work

best i pulled off was a 8.8 at 84 i think. it was only 1/8th mile because of the wind. first run was a 10.1 spun all thru first and second, and bogged down in 3rd when i finally got some traction. then i was on my way to my fastest pass ever, but i missed third. i guess traction wasnt on my side being 32 degrees out.

i had fun and by going off my best run, its pretty similar 8th mile times. maybe a tenth off at the most. so i think i have a pretty good base time to go off of when they open back up february 28th. i made it a point to have these select items before they open

    wheels with drag radials
    aluminum 1 piece driveshaft
sct tuner from brenspeed or bamachips or similar.
offroad mid pipe, not sure if H or pro chamber.
    upper control arm.

went with my dad. first time i raced a trail blazer SS then i raced a awesome foxbody, then i raced a toyota supra. my dad ended up coming with me and the supras are way past his time so he was like oh why dont you line up with that 4 banger import over there. i'm like dad you realize thats a turbocharged inline 6. and hes like nah you'll beat on him. new the supra would kill me, but my dad was astonished when he pulled off a 6.6 at 116.

i think i might of been one of the only mustangs there. maybe 2 others. it was mainly GM and Mopar. so needless to say it took very long to get 3 runs in because of all them breaking down. funny how much faster fast ford weekend goes. hahah.

so who else went to the track for one last pass for the season.

yep, this oldsmobile broke in front of me for my first pass of the day. so i pull up right next to the burn out box, when they call me up. and he launches and the radiator hose pops off fluid all over the track. so i back up so they can get him outta there, and then i have to go back more when they get the jet dryer out. so i finally pull up to the light, and before i even think its already going down, so i launched it too high and just spun the whole time.

I haven't been since Sept, but a couple of my buddies went in the last few weeks and both got personal bests! N/A manual went 12.40 and an N/A auto went 12.29:rock: I've got my work cut out before the track opens next year as well. Looking to spend a few thousand to get mid to low 12s while staying N/A like them!
