With a good tune how mush hp can i get

I make 221.9 hp and my Max AIR/FUEL is 17.5 If i get a good tune up what can i get in power!

umm thats a little lean , usually lean means you will make more power but I would say in your case its probably at the point of hurting performance , get it tuned immediately before you cook a piston or two .

you are going to want about 12.0:1 at lower RPMS and work it up to about 13.0:1 at redline. 17.5:1 is hella bad! your lucky you didn't fry a piston.

I would be suprised if that number is correct, 17.5:1 is extremely lean, cylinder temps would be way too high at that ratio. I would say Yes you will gain power by bringing that A/F back down to where it should be. If my car even hit 15:1 I would crap my pants for sure!

Like everyone said, you are lean. However, A/f ratios are not stationary, they vary with load and RPM. When are you hitting 17.1 specificly? I was hitting 15.5 in park at idle, and I was hitting 12's at WOT

For a N/A car it's ideal to have 14:5 air fuel at idle and around 13:5 through the curve.
