won't idle when warm

my car will start up and idle fine after it sits overnight or all day at work, but if i shut it off and restart it after its warm it wont idle, it gets to about 700 rpm then falls to 400rpm and surges back and forth,sometimes dying, read the surging idle checklist and didnt SEE anything about surging only when warm,

The car drives fine when its warm but i fear stop lights, i was thinking maybe the
O2 sensors were the problem but wanted to hear from others

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes] for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

Start at the top and work your way down. Dump the codes, fix the codes that come up. Do all the simple stuff first. Do the base idle set proceedure once you have fixed the codes and other obivious problems.
