The traction is vastly superior IMO. It handle a little better than a Mach or Bullitt but it's not an IRS class car. The 03/04 Cobra handles much better. I drove this car for an hour and had it to 110mph and near 100 from the dig at least a half a dozen times (600 miles on car). I didn't have a winding roads but exchanged expressway loops at high speeds and its a little more nertual that the Mach which is much better than my GT but those wanting IRS are going to say it stinks IMO.
It's a good platform to build from with it's improved traction, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, forged axles. But some of you have either not driven a Mach or a modern SVT product or your still in the "new love" mindset of car buying. This isn't about some "god" car to me rater it's the Cobra, Mach, or new GT they all have there +/-.
If your into the "motor" like a large majority of people that buy these cars it will be great if your coming from another GT but a let down to those with 4V motor since the new 05's have been given "super car" status by some.
It is the best chasis to build from I've ever seen. Go stright to the motor it doesn't need the bucks on anything else unless your a road course driver. Keep in mind "overall' to you or me are different. The GT's plain to me I'd have to get the stripes and the engine not what I would perfer. But for those wanting a 350Z type car this is much closer and would be the "bomb" of the GT series.
For you tall driver it's a big improvement there a good 6 inches to the roof from my 6" hieght. The car has everything high, your not going to be sticking your arm out the window while you drive with this car unless your very tall. The center console is very tall and was wierd having my whole arm on it but I adjusted. The seat are as good as the Mach and those with wider rear ends may like them a little better but they're almost the same.
The way I see it they're both winners. One car your going to be working on traction and the other the engine to achieve much improved times.
