cuz id rather find one on an explorer at school, take it, and put a sticker or something over it and half the retards around my town wouldnt know the difference LMAO
I'll assume you're kidding. Otherwise, it's a good way to get your car vandalized......or worse still, your face. :nice:

You don't think those same retards you're talking about might notice your nice shiny new V8 badges and say…..“Hey, those are the same kind as the ones on the Explorer my Mom lets me drive back and forth to school everyday”, then realize they went missing right around the same time you got your new ones?

Don't be a dick and rip someone else off! :nono: Surely if you can afford that cheesy body kit you’ve got, you can afford to pony up the $20.00 for new emblems. ;)

:notnice: I will probably never shop at 50resto again. I've been to the store numerous times now, but the first time I ever actually bought anything, I got the worst salesperson ever (just ask sicK96GT). It's not 50resto's fault, per se, it's just that I can save an average of $14.75 PER $100 buying online (I save on tax, and discounts that online retailers offer).

For example, I went into the store and was like, "OK! I have to buy something today!" So I checked, and they didn't have any of the suspension parts I wanted. So I moved onto the next item, a shifter. Nope, they don't carry MGW (MGW is B2C only). So sicK96GT mentioned, "Underdrive pulleys!" I said OK, and Steeda was the only brand I'd go with. I knew I had seen them before for less than $204.95, and he straight up said, "No you haven't, Steeda set their own prices." So I came back with, "OK, cool, but they have coupon codes. Can you honor a 6% discount?" He said cool, and my total came to $210 and some change. Tax is a bitch, but I don't mind paying for tax to get it right away.

After I had bought them, I was curious to see if he was tellin' the truth, so I went to 4 different websites to compare prices. Theirs, was the 2nd highest. That's right behind a store that I think just opened not too long ago. PartShopper weighted in at $189.95; AmericanMuscle.com at $189.95; StangSuspension.com at $199.95; Late Model Restoration (50resto) came in at $204.95; and finally StangMods.com in at $209.95. I was ticked at this point, thinking back on how big of a dick the guy was to me when I bought them in the store. :nonono:

So then I thought about it, "Maybe they'll give me a little bit of a refund to match the other prices." I called, they said nope. I'm sure I can return them, but I figured I'll take the loss this time because after having bought them, I really want them now. I think I'll just stick to buying online now (PartShopper FTW, they won't be beat).

Moral to the story is: Don't impulse buy, and research prices before you buy.
2nd moral to the story: Start from the top, and work down.

I usually have the flame horse in the grille, but last week someone ripped the horse out of the grille on my '66, damaging the grille also. So I went ahead and took the horse out of the '01 grille... yeah. I do like how it looks without the horse also, but I would like to have a choice in the matter.

Nope. There are two holes one above the other, i doubt the pony will be tall enough.

Check out www.oceanemblems.com. A few years ago I had them make me a saleen style badge, and they sell that now. They still have a picture of my car in their gallery from when it was all jacket-up and 4x4.:( They'll make you something custom if you want them too, and the quality is great. They are very low profile badges too... very thin.

I have the 281 oval fender badges, but have decided they don't look right. Think I'm gonna replace them with v6 ponies.

i told the paint shop to de-badge mine and fill the holes. apparently they thought that meant "take the badges off and spray behind them good, and stick them back on while the paint is still tacky so if anyone rips it off it takes half the fender paint with it".

i was gonna have Autobadges ( i knew erik when he first started his business back on the v6 sites) make me a nice custom badge but that wont happen now.

I hope when you do find a V8 explorer you go to rip the badges off only to be seen in the process by the guy that owns the truck who is 6'9 330 all muscle and is skilled in all sorts of martial arts and torture is unstable and thinks the correct punishment for stealing a badge on his truck is many hours of beatings and anal rape.. Afterwards this will be you :owned:
