I'm planning to purchase the trick flow street heat H/C/I kit in about a month. I'm trying to assemble a little list of minimum required supporting mods/parts that i'll need to make the switch as well as a recommended list of parts. i know i'll need the SN-95 throttle body elbow...what else???

thanks everyone!

probably some 24# injectors, ecu calibrated for 24#'ers, a MAF calibrater for 24# injectors also..........and i think that should do it. i would go with a 70mm throttlebody also. it will definitely be a fun car to drive after you get it all together.

I'd do something along these lines:

255 intank pump
30lb inj's
meter for 30's
65-75 tb
pulleys
LT's
off road h or x mid pipe
2.5" catback
good tune

I'd see if they would let you swap that street upper for a track upper

That should put you close to 300 or a bit better to the wheels
and
Solid high 12 second 1/4 mile et's if you run a stick trans

:nonono: :nonono: You had to go there didn't you Grady.........:rlaugh:

You should plan on the tune.....no if's about it...and all that was said above...and like Grady said ....step up to the Track heat.....I like it....

I did the Trick flow kit , and besides what everone has mentioned, I also put on some new lifters. Since I was tearing into the engine, I figured what the hell, might as well have everything in the top of the motor new.

Heres what I'm doing for my TF kit
255lh fuel pump
75mm Tbody
24lb injectors
1 inch intake spacer ( you can get away with smaller i think 5/8)
intake elbow
Lifters
and Tweecer for tune

will stick with stock maf for now but if I peg it then i will upgrade

Just making sure you know you will need a taller hood than stock with a 1" spacer.

I'm going with the TFS Track Heat kit with the Stage 2 cam...

-75mm t-body
-75mm MAF ( calibrated )
- 24lb injectors
- 255 lph fuel pump
- fuel regulator
- new lifters
- sub frames

you're talking 12's? what about street tires?

Street tires at the track

Thats like marrying a girl and only getting kisses and hugs :bang:

You just aren't getting the full benefit from either situation :nono:

You might could do it with street tires
but
A set of DR's would be advisable :D

Just look at other guys and see what they did but you will ......
one way or the other .... have to get your sixty foot down to
around 2 or better

Self Tuning will give you control over the pcm :nice:

Since you got that option ... I'd consider 30# inj's :)

On a free flowing after market h/c/i combo with all supporting mods with
stock fuel pressure ... 24's get pretty close to the limit

Over the past year or so ... I've seen several folks in the self tuning forums
move from 24's to 30's for more peace of mind.

I've had no probs with mine ;)

for a NA 306 with that HCI, wouldnt 24# ers be plenty?

I'm always open to a good discussion
so
I'll state the obvious :D

they might AND they might not be

How about a question or two for you :)

1) What data are you gonna use to determine what size to use on your
upcoming 306 h/c/i combo

2) Could there be any other factors that would make you choose one
size over the other

In all honesty, I went to the track last night ( first time EVER ) and ran 2.** consistant 60' with my street tires. MY first run I spun in 1st and bogged down in 2nd and had a 2.632 ...

2nd run = 2.120 , 3rd run = 2.041

The thing thats keeping me from 13's is my reaction time....

1st = .425 ( ran 15.546 1/4 ) , 2nd = .381 ( ran 14.390 1/4 ) , 3rd = .546 ( ran 14.317 1/4 )

IMO, doing a good burn out on my street tires made a hell of a difference.... I didn't do a burn out my first time and I did a good one for both my 2nd and 3rd....

Your reaction time has nothing to do with et.

Reaction time is all about the race with the other guy.

If going to the track for et results ... you have no concern for the other guy.
