Hello,

I just took my car out of storage today and my radio isn't working at all. The Mach 460 6-cd changer lights up and I can edit the clock and load and eject cd's however it doesn't play any of the Cd's or play the radio. I don't have an option to. I did remove the cd play to find a blue wire that is cut. Could this wire be the reason why? If so where does it go to? Any help would be highly appreciated because for the first day you cruise your car a stero would top it off.

Thanks,

A blue wire is usually a speaker wire. The power wires are usually red, black, and green. With the new cars I am just not sure. Doesn't sound like a fuse since you get clock and all, but check them just to be sure. There are two, one under the dash and one under the hood. Get the din pulling tool from Walmart for $3 and pull the head unit. Check to be sure all wires are connected and see where that cut blue one goes.

I already checked the fuse inside the car and that was fine, but I didn't check the one under the hood. I already pulled the unit out of the dash and didn't see where the wire went to. I have a 01 vert just ot be clear. I have no idea why it would act this way. I also plugged in the harnesses in the back of the cd player.

What year of car bro? Does it start playing the cd like you can see the time going and just no sound? If so that wire could be your turn on for the amp, or you blew the fuse for the amps, Let me know what year it is and i will look up the colors for you. Dan
