    The Gauge Cluster Conundrum

Yeah I was looking at the printed circuit broads at NPD, which I'm probably going to order from, as well as a hazard switch pigtail from LMR, ( The old one literally broken apart a couple years back) and somehow I repin them to make the flasher/ turn signals come back on, So overall, I had a...

    The Gauge Cluster Conundrum

I appreciate it guys, I went ahead and took the cluster out to see If anything was disconnected or tingle up, so far the only thing I see is my # 13 fuse (5amp) keeps blowing out as I just replaced it a second ago and the back of the cluster looks a little haggard, don’t know if that would stop...

    The Gauge Cluster Conundrum

I should add, this has happened before on several occasions, but the gauge lights would eventually come back on, I normally would fiddle with the whole cluster until it came back on (not completely secured at the top), now just stop coming on completely.

    The Gauge Cluster Conundrum

Ok, this maybe a bit naive to ask but I need to ask anyway. But would a bad or failing dimmer switch prevent all the gauge lights and A/C accessory lights to stop working. Drove the car one night and all then gauge lights just stop immediately stop illuminating, gauges all still mechanically...

I actually contact BUYAFR first, but they were back ordered as well with no exact arrival date, I'm curious If this is seasonal this time of year when trying to order specific engine blocks, cams or heads.

    The Most Preferred Aluminum heads

Thanks man I appreciate it! Its been many days and many night trying to find out which one one of these heads would work for my setup as well as be available sooner, the wait was killing me as well, especially since my block was at the machine shop and didn't want them to be waiting on me...

    The Most Preferred Aluminum heads

Haha Nice!, yeah exactly how I feel, I bought this block back in Jan and had it completely wrapped up in several plastic, traps, and blankets in the bed of my dad's F-150 on a crate, ( it was enclosed) but I didn't have enough space in the garage, plus it was way too heavy to pick up myself...

Oh no, the motor that is still in my car as of now is a 86 5.0 with the flat-top piston E6 heads, that bottom end is more or less on its way out. I have another engine block that was pulled from a 2001 Ford explorer 5.0 that's at the machine shop that's being hone / freshen up completely...

*Update* Well guys, I finally bit the bullet and bought the AFR Renegade 165 #1402 from a AFR warehouse distributor that had a decent portion in stock instead of the 2-4 week delay and finally came in the mail this afternoon. hopefully, this will give the stang a nice bump in power from its...

I didn’t realize til much later but yeah, Ive seen the Broodix 5.0 for the sbf on FTI so I would have to think they still are going. (Production and selling I mean). My dad runs the Brodix Track 1 heads on his 74 Nova, his is a 383 stroker motor, granted it was built back in 2005/2006, that...

    The Most Preferred Aluminum heads

Yeah that’s what I’ve been hearing lately, so I wasn’t sure on what to decide far as lifters go lol, budget wise I have a little wiggle room but nothing crazy, so just trying to pieces the right components so I can do it right the 1st time and not have to back track. my new motor is already at...

    The Most Preferred Aluminum heads

Yeah that’s were I’m leaning more towards, the AFR 165 I mean, it’s mainly going to be a weekend street toy to take out occasionally. If I can get it close to 300whp mark or have the ingredients (motor/drivetrain wise) to click off a 12 second slip, I’ll be content with it. side note, what...

    The Most Preferred Aluminum heads

Nice, I'm not exactly trying to set records or anything, but my motor in my car is an 86 5.0 with the crappy E6 heads with the lower tier comp cams, runs alright all things considered, but I feel anything would be a nice improvement over the E6s lol, just want to make it a nice stout 302...

    The Most Preferred Aluminum heads

My old motor that's in it right now was from another guy, which had the Proform 750 carb on it, at one point was running a 100-150 shot nitrous on it from what I'm told, and I figured it would be too much for a given street driven 302., probably wash the rings if anything, took that off and put...

Hey everyone, how's it going, I know this has been a forever on going topic, but really would like some advice/help on a decision that I'm currently progressing with my build. - Quick recap, the bottom end of my 306 in my Fox is more or less on its way out, (burning oil, carbon burn plugs...
