I don't want to cut the quick connect fittings off my heater hoses, because I plan to replace the heater core eventually. But, I need to bypass it now. Can I use one of the Dorman heater hose quick connector fittings to connect the OEM hoses, or do I need to temporarily replace the existing...

I don't want to cut the fittings off my existing hoses, so I intend to replace each hose with a standard hose (no fitting), then connect them...unless the 3/4"x 5/8" or 1/2" x 3/8" connector at the parts store will connect the existing hoses. Yeh, I don't mind that part. I just don't like do it one way, then finding out later that it could have been a lot easier. LOL Thanks for the tip about the bushings, too.

I need to replace the steering pump pressure hose on my 2004 3.9 v6. Can someone with experience please tell me the trick to getting a wrench on the nuts at the rack end of the hose?

I have the same problem on my 2004 and this reply is not helpful. The manual says "disconnect the pressure hose and return hose"... The hose is simple to disconnect at the pump. The pulley does not need to be removed. The issue is that there is no room to get a wrench on the fitting at the...

Chasing electrical bugs... Dome light stays lit. Autozone has the switch, but I don't know where it is located in the car. Wiring diagram in Haynes is no help. Before I start pulling trim, can anyone tell me where to find the switch? ? 2004 Coupe 3.9
