How Good Does A Fox Really Handle?

It really just depends on how much you want to spend.

Are Pony Cars Getting TOO Big?

 Ironic, no; Sad, yes...sad that Ford didn't engineer previous Mustangs as well as the new ones. The new Mustangs don't handle better because they're bigger and heavier. They handle better despite the fact that they're bigger and heavier... There's a difference between a...

    Clutch Issue? need advice

Did you change the clutch yourself? If you did, then you already know how to change a tob - the only difference is the last couple of steps. Changing the throwout bearing isn't that hard, but you have to remove the transmission to do it, so it takes time. If you're doing it on...

    mustang tilt

You mean you want both a tilt column and an airbag? I'm not sure that's safe. I'm sure they had a good reason for not keeping the tilt column when they started using airbags...

Are Pony Cars Getting TOO Big?

American cars/trucks in general are getting too big. A Challenger doesn't look too big when you park it between an Expedition and a Hummer.

I put my car in a ditch...need paint ideas

Your safest bet is to never drive a high torque, rwd car in the snow - or if the streets are wet and the temperature is 36* or less. It doesn't matter how good you are or how careful you drive, it's way too easy to lose control of the rear end. Another plus about repainting it the factory...

Ultra clear SMOKED headlights... hmm interesting

Doh!!! I have a set that I haven't installed yet. Guess I'll just have to put HID's in my foglights.

    The 5.0 Mustang is Back!

It's cool that it's a 5 liter, but I'd be just as happy if they got the same numbers out of a 4.6. The 6 speed alone is already a big plus in my book. 2010 styling + 6 speed + 400 hp = win Maybe I'll be able to afford a 2011 model in 2015...if I stop pouring money into my 88, that is. :(...

Better using OD? Or turn off OD?

...the only purpose OD serves is to save gas... If you're racing, turn it off. Otherwise leave it on.

Can tires from 8.5" rims be used on a 9" rim?

They should be okay. But just to be safe - go to the tire manufacturers website (or tirerack.com) and look at the "rim width range" for your particular tire.

    quad shocks

That's all fine and dandy....but why would you just leave off a piece of your suspension when you don't need to? Just because you don't notice wheel hop doesn't mean it's not affecting your car at all.

Aero to 4 eye, or 4 eye to aero

Stangnet has spoken. Seriously - it would be a lot easier to swap out the drivetrain. Plus 4-eyes are manlier and less common.

Installed a set of H&R springs in the fox yesterday

Definitely disconnect the tie rod. You don't want to put too much pressure on it at that angle and it will let you drop the A arm a little farther. I normally put the top of the spring in first (with the A arm hanging as low as possible and the jack in position underneath) then use a pry...

    Pypes V. Magnaflow help!

I have the violator cat-back with stock h-pipe. I had to cut about 4 inches off each side to get them to fit - and of course that changed the angle of the pipes...so yeah, the fit sucks. I wouldn't recommend them. If you're only buyin the muffler, maybe - but I wouldn't buy the kit. I know...

How well do Foxes hold up in real crashes.

The week I bought my last Mustang (93 GT), my brakes locked up going down hill in the rain, with a traffic light at the bottom of the hill. I slid into a compact (Opal Corsa) that was parked at the light. And the result was simlar to when two billiard balls hit. I stopped, the other car...

Can't find neg, battery to block attachment point

It shares a bolt with something else...I can't remember what at the moment. But it is in the area you described. It doesn't really matter as long as you get a good ground. Just attach it wherever you can.

    Short tube vs long tube?

What else do you have done to the car? On a stock-ish engine, neither will make enough difference to really feel. They might even hurt performance in the bottom of the RPM range.
