Need quick help - TPS issues

took me a long time - the answer to my problem is this- the black TPS wire is internal ground - wire 46 at the EEC. wires 20/40/60 are actual grounds. If you didn't get a good ground on them, you can blow the internal ground. If you have voltage on wire 46- ground the EEC test connector...

Need quick help - TPS issues

Is the black wire on the TPS actually ground? I know it's #46 into the EEC, and shared by like 6 sensors- so I'd like to think it's an actual ground, but I NEED confirmation, and quickly :) Thanks!

Serious TPS issue - 5V on all three wires

Any ideas on what could cause it? 5V on the red, 5 on the green... 5 on the BLACK?!? Car runs okay, has misses and issues, but it only happened when I installed a new TB. Changed TPS with a new one... also doing the same. The only thing that I can't verify is that the 93 Cobra uses the...

    Will I hit 300WHP? What's the bottleneck?

planning on it possibly thursday of this week. I just hate the thought of going down there, tweaking timing and fuel pressure, and walking away with 250WHP :(

    Granetelli Forced Induction Oilling system

I beg to differ :) Anytime you have a turbo pushing 1500+ EGT thru it - it WILL heat up the oil. I have watched on nice mechanical gauges the oil pressure start dropping after high boost turbo runs. Vehciles without an oil cooler will note considerably higher oil temps. Lots of...

    Will I hit 300WHP? What's the bottleneck?

not too far off stock GT40's, I didn't have a ton done, just a little something :) And the only issue with 1.7's is that with the .200 dome pistons, I'm likely to run into some clearance issues. The upped compression should give me a few HP over the normal 5.0.

    Will I hit 300WHP? What's the bottleneck?

I dunno what the power level is yet- I haven't ran it in a long time down the track :) This intake has D-shaped ports, I believe you've seen pics of it on here not too long ago. What intake would the master suggest? I've contemplated many, but I figured if you'll give the advice I'll listen...

    Will I hit 300WHP? What's the bottleneck?

hey guys, been a while since I posted, and although I'm trying to sell this coupe, I keep putting more into it. I'm looking for 275-300WHP, and I'm curious as to what the bottleneck might be to prevent that - mods 11:1 KB pistons TFS Stage I cam GT40 Iron heads p/p 3 angle valve job...

    V8 swap, harness questions

you can run an 91 or early 92 harness without issues. You cannot run a late 92/93 harness because they relocated the fuel pump relay to under hood. The breakdown reads - 87-89 fine 90 solo 91 early 92 late 92/93 I have a 93 coupe I did a conversion on, tried to use an 89 harness...

    Stock oil/temp/alt gauge issues

so the problem shouldn't be the wiring in the cluster, it's the actual wires somewhere... okay... I can do that... it sucks, but I can do it...

    Stock oil/temp/alt gauge issues

thanks, but I guess I should have been more specific... the harness, the back plate - it's all 93... the gauges THEMSELVES are 89 :) I pulled the gauges one by one and installed them- it was a 4cyl conversion (89 donor, 93 coupe :) ) and I needed it running not waiting on parts... so each...

    Stock oil/temp/alt gauge issues

trying to get the coupe ready to sell, I've had mechanical gauges in there, but wanted to get the stockers working... the oil pressure gauge (mech) said 50psi on idle, 75 cold run and 60psi normal... the stock shows 2nd tick (m/L) - the water temp needle never shows it's face... the alt gauge is...

    Eclipse vs Mustang

Okay, quick lesson on breaking AWD parts. (EDIT- misused the word "to") The reason why you'll see DSM's with broken parts (and expect to see more with WRX and EVO) is bog/break/burn. You launch too low, the car bogs. You launch higher than the bog, but not enough to burn- you break. You...

    Eclipse vs Mustang

Maybe not 100% accurate on the EGR lines - but this pick shows a lot of what you can kill nice and easy. The biggest thing is that the engine bay is smaller, so stuff looks even more crammed than it is- relocate that battery to the trunk, and BOOM! Tons of room. There is more in there...

    Eclipse vs Mustang

Hmm interesting- I've got a 93 notch here that could use heads and a cam, and there is a $1200 AWD 5spd DSM sitting here that will be getting a turbo, injector, maf, fuel pump, and plugs wires switched out... How about this- you come up here to oklahoma, we'll both start at the same time...

    Eclipse vs Mustang

I do have to admit that I can't quite be called totally unbiased- I don't let others work on my vehicles, and since I do the work on eclipses- I find it quite easy- should you start paying someone to do it- yeah, you could probably get money. I of course would suggest that you just learn the...
