Hello to all. I'm completely new to Ford and just had a few questions that I need answers to. Tired of searching the internet of miss leading info. First give you some information on what I'm doing. 5.0 swap e30. I know it has been done I have the step by step guide. What the guide doesn't mention is speed density harness 1988 aod to be pacific. My problem is I dont have a #39 green connector by the ecu. I have a 4 pin connector with only 3 wires coming from it by the ecu. Also dont have brown #31 connector. I have black and gray and some other black connector. Is the 2nd black connector that's not a 8 pin connector my green#39 ?

You might get some answers if we knew what you were talking about.
1. Is this a swap into a BMW?
2. Don't know what this "guide" is.
3. There are harness variations from early to later years.
4. Connector body color can vary.

You need wiring diagrams.

My apologies. Yes it is a 1984 bmw 5.0 swap. From my understanding donor engine and harness is a speed density 1988. Things that are different on my harness is #39 green & #31 brown connector. I have black and gray for #31 and fuel jumper I guess. Its #39 that is giving me hard time to move forward.

That wiring diagram is for a mass air car. That's why there are wiring differences.

Hop on rockauto and pick up an electrical and vacuum diagram for a 1988 mustang and use that as a wiring referend
