2001 gt mach stereo sub & amp install

trying to put 2 8" tubes in trunk and amp. what is the black box between the rear deck mounted amps? can i bolt amp to underside of this to keep it off floor and out of way?

That box holds the rear speakers. you can bolt to it just use short screws. I wouldnt just because its not a good idea to install amps upside down, its bad for heat .
